This is a day to celebrate our cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. The message of Harmony day is everyone belongs. Harmony Day has been a community celebration since 1999. The theme colour for Harmony Day is Orange. Orange traditionally signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to freedom of ideas and the encouragement of mutual respect.
Lead up– “Paint the town Orange”- Narrabri Business Houses invited to decorate shop fronts in the colour Orange for the week 19-24 March. All Community members encouraged to wear orange on the day.
Event- NDCAS will be hosting a FREE Community Lunch on the Post Office Lawns 11:00am – 2:00pm. The event will be with a cultural performance from the Gamilaraay Children’s Choir, Fun photo opportunities in the Grins and Giggles Photo Booth, plus Pop Corn & Slushies and lots more!!
