The Namoi River meanders gently through the Shire from Boggabri to Pilliga with many top class fishing spots on the way. One such location is right in Narrabri along the banks of the Narrabri Creek. Whether you head down past the Violet Street bridge or just pick a spot off Cameron Park, the accessibility of this area accounts for much of its popularity.
The Tarriaro reserve is another accessible fishing spot that’s sure to win your heart. Located just 15 kilometres from Narrabri along the Old Gunnedah/ Maules Creek Road the reserve offers an abundance of places to drop in a line and is a stunning spot to drink in the scenery while you wait for the fish to bite!
