Nosh Narrabri is an annual food and wine festival held during August in Narrabri. Please see our calendar of events for additional information and dates.
Held on the banks of the Namoi River behind The Crossing Theatre, the festival has enjoyed enormous success since its inception in 2003. Nosh showcases a wide variety of local produce and is the perfect opportunity to savour the fruits of this rich agricultural region.
Nosh Narrabri promises entertainment for the whole family. Visitors are invited to explore the wares of over 40 local exhibitors offering tasty gourmet samples, which include olives, pasta, wines, bread and pork. An enormous range of products are available for purchase on the day. Cooking demonstrations, live music, a dazzling evening fireworks show and many more activities are also on offer.
The Nosh Triathlon kickstarts festivities on the Saturday morning, offering a short and long course for adventure-seekers and anyone looking for a physical challenge.
Be sure to catch the annual “Courier Cook Off”. A real crowd-puller, this heated competition pits local barbecue aficionado’s against each other in a race to create the best meal. Using a mixture of local Nosh-exhibited products, the competition is as mouth watering as it is exciting!
Children are entertained in the Children’s Activity Marquee with face painting, balloons and story time. A baby change area and mother’s rest area are also provided.
The festivities continue on Sunday with a new highlight, the long lunch. An Italian four-course meal prepared by Relish Catering promises to delight all the senses.
Tickets can be bought from the Visitor Information Centre.
